Can I cancel JazzHR directly from my account dashboard?

No. JazzHR does not offer a self-service cancel button. You must submit a cancellation request via the form at help.jazzhr.com/s/cancellationrequest or by emailing csm@jazzhr.com, then complete a multi-step email exchange with their Customer Success team.

Will I get a refund after cancelling?

Per JazzHR's Terms of Service, prepaid unused subscription fees for the remainder of the term should be refunded. However, the current billing period is generally not refunded, and users report that refunds can be difficult to obtain in practice. Confirm the refund policy in writing during the cancellation process.

How long do I retain access after requesting cancellation?

Access continues until the cancellation effective date, which is 30 days after your next billing date — not from the day you submit the request. This means you may be charged for one more billing cycle after initiating cancellation.

Verify your account role

Confirm you have Super Administrator access or a Recruiting Admin role with 'manage account and subscriptions' permission enabled. Only these roles can submit a cancellation request.

Export your data

Before cancelling, export all candidate information, resumes, and records from your JazzHR account. Full cancellation results in data deletion — there is no way to retrieve this data after the account closes.

Submit the cancellation request form

Go to https://help.jazzhr.com/s/cancellationrequest and fill out the cancellation request form. Alternatively, email csm@jazzhr.com or call 888-353-0887 Ext. 3 (Customer Success team).

Respond to the scripted follow-up email

JazzHR will send a scripted email response. You must reply to continue the cancellation — if you do not respond, your account stays open and billing continues.

Decline the Hibernation plan offer

You will be offered a 'Hibernation' plan at $19/month to preserve your account data instead of deleting it. If you want full cancellation, decline this offer and choose the full cancellation option.

Confirm data deletion acceptance

Explicitly confirm that you accept JazzHR's data deletion policy to proceed with full cancellation.

Note your cancellation effective date

JazzHR requires 30 days notice calculated from your next billing date — not from the day you submitted the request. Confirm the exact date your cancellation takes effect and that you will not be billed again after that date.
