Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your paid plan remains active through the end of the current billing cycle. After that, your account automatically downgrades to the free plan (100 credits/month) and all your data is retained.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Clay's policy states all fees are non-refundable. The only exception is a refund for payments made within the last 7 days if there has been no account activity during that time. To request a refund, contact support@clay.run.

What happens to my unused credits when I cancel?

Monthly plan credits remain usable through the end of the billing cycle, then the balance is capped at 200 credits (the free plan rollover limit). Annual plan holders keep all pre-paid credits through the full contracted annual period end date.

How do I reactivate my subscription?

After downgrading to the free plan, an 'Upgrade Plan' button appears in your Settings sidebar. Click it at any time to resubscribe — there is no waiting period or penalty.

Will my data be deleted when I cancel?

No. Cancelling only downgrades your plan — all tables, workspaces, and data are retained. To have your data permanently deleted, you must explicitly contact support@clay.run and request account deletion.

Can I cancel an annual plan early?

Yes, you can cancel an annual plan at any time via the same Settings → Plans & billing → Cancel Plan flow. However, no prorated refund is issued for the remaining period unless the payment was made within the last 7 days with no activity.

Log in to Clay

Go to app.clay.com and sign in to your account.

Open your profile menu

Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.

Go to Settings

Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu that appears.

Open Plans & Billing

In the left sidebar, click 'Plans & billing'.

Click Cancel Plan

Find and click the 'Cancel Plan' button on the Plans & billing page.

Clay shows a summary of what happens to your credits and data after cancellation. Review this information carefully.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm the cancellation. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the account automatically downgrades to the free plan.
