Will I still have access to Zoho Expense after cancelling?

Yes. Downgrading moves your organization to the Free plan, which provides continued access to basic features. However, active users are capped at 3 — any additional users are marked as inactive.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Yes, in most cases. Monthly subscribers can get a full refund within the first month of service, or within 5 business days after any renewal date. Annual subscribers can get a full refund within the first 45 days, or within 15 days after a renewal date. Mid-cycle cancellations outside these windows receive a pro-rata refund.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

All existing data remains in Zoho Expense after downgrading to the Free plan. However, if your account remains completely inactive for 120 consecutive days, your data will be permanently deleted per Zoho's inactive accounts policy.

Can I reactivate my paid subscription later?

Yes. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time by going to Settings → Subscription → Change Plan. All your existing data and configurations will remain intact as long as the account was not deleted due to inactivity.

What if I cannot cancel through the website?

You can email payments@zohocorp.com to request cancellation directly. Phone support is also available at +1 844-557-1787 (Monday–Friday).

Does cancelling Zoho Expense affect my other Zoho products?

No. Zoho Expense is a standalone product. Cancelling or downgrading it does not affect other Zoho apps in your account (e.g., Zoho Books, Zoho CRM) unless you are on a Zoho One bundle plan, in which case you should contact Zoho support before making changes.

Switch to Admin View

Log in to Zoho Expense. In the top-left corner, click 'Admin View' to switch from the employee dashboard to the admin control panel.

Open Settings

Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the admin dashboard, or select 'Settings' from the left sidebar navigation.

Navigate to Subscription

In the Settings menu, scroll to the 'Organization' section and click 'Subscription'. You will be redirected to the Zoho Payments page.

Click Change Plan

On the Subscription/Payments page, click the 'Change Plan' button to view available plan options including the Free plan.

Select Downgrade

Locate the Free plan in the plan list and click the 'Downgrade' button beneath it. A confirmation dialog will appear.

Click Downgrade Anyway

In the confirmation dialog that warns you about feature restrictions, click 'Downgrade Anyway' to proceed.

Provide Reason and Confirm

Select a reason for downgrading from the dropdown menu provided, then click 'Confirm Downgrade' to finalize the cancellation and move to the Free plan.
