After cancelling Enterprise, your repositories can continue receiving automated dependency update PRs under the free Community tier, which includes 1 concurrent job per org, jobs run every 4 hours, and community-only support.

Is there a refund if I cancel mid-contract?

Mend Renovate Enterprise is sold as an enterprise contract negotiated with the sales team. Refund eligibility depends on your specific contract terms. Contact sales@mend.io or your account manager to discuss pro-rated refunds. Community Cloud is free, so no refunds apply.

How do I reactivate an Enterprise subscription after cancelling?

Contact Mend sales at sales@mend.io to discuss reinstating or purchasing a new Enterprise plan. Your repositories will remain accessible on the free Community tier in the meantime, so Renovate will continue running (with reduced resources) without interruption.

What happens to my Renovate configuration and data after cancellation?

Your renovate.json configuration files remain in your repositories unchanged. Mend's cloud does not permanently store your source code. Job logs and configuration stored in the Developer Portal may be retained per Mend's data retention policy — contact support@mend.io for data deletion requests.

Do I need to cancel anything if I self-host Renovate (CE/EE)?

If you run the open-source Renovate CLI or the self-hosted Community/Enterprise Edition containers, there is no Mend subscription to cancel — just stop running the containers. If you have a separate license agreement for Renovate EE, contact sales@mend.io to terminate it.

How long does it take to process an Enterprise cancellation request?

Mend does not publish an SLA for cancellation processing. Expect 1–5 business days for a response from the sales or support team. Cancellation typically takes effect at the end of your current billing or contract period unless otherwise negotiated.

Identify your subscription tier

Determine whether you are on the free Community Cloud plan or a paid Enterprise Cloud plan. Community Cloud is free for all repositories — there is no billing to cancel. Enterprise Cloud is a purchased contract negotiated with Mend's sales team.

Log in to the Mend Developer Portal

Go to https://developer.mend.io and sign in with your GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps OAuth credentials. Select your platform (Global or EU) when prompted.

Remove the Renovate app from your repositories (Community)

If you are on the free Community plan, navigate to your Git provider's installed apps settings (e.g., GitHub → Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps → Mend Renovate → Configure → Uninstall). This fully removes the Renovate integration and stops all automated PRs with no billing impact.

Contact Mend Sales to cancel Enterprise contract

If you are on a paid Enterprise Cloud plan, there is no self-service cancellation portal. Send a cancellation request by email to sales@mend.io. Include your organization name, the Git platform (GitHub/Bitbucket/Azure DevOps), and your account contact name. Reference your contract or order number if available.

Submit a support ticket (alternative)

Alternatively, log in to the Mend Support Portal at https://support.mend.io and open a billing or account management ticket requesting cancellation of your Enterprise subscription. Enterprise customers have dedicated support access.

Confirm cancellation in writing

Wait for written confirmation from Mend that your Enterprise subscription has been cancelled and confirm the effective end date and any final billing period. Retain this confirmation for your records.
