Can I still access my account after requesting cancellation?

Yes, your account remains active and accessible until the end of your current billing period. After that, it is suspended for 14 days before being permanently deleted.

Does Freshworks offer refunds when canceling?

Generally no. Per Freshworks' Terms of Service, payment obligations are non-cancelable and non-refundable. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle with no pro-rated refund for unused time.

How long until my data is permanently deleted?

After your subscription end date, your account is suspended immediately (within 24 hours) and then permanently deleted along with all data 14 days later. Export your data before canceling as exports can take up to 10 business days.

Can I reactivate my Freshworks account after canceling?

You can reactivate before the 14-day deletion window expires by logging back in and choosing to resume your subscription. After the 14-day period, all data is permanently deleted and recovery is not possible.

Do I need to cancel each Freshworks product separately?

Yes. Freshdesk, Freshsales, Freshchat, Freshcaller, Freshservice, and other Freshworks products are separate subscriptions and must each be canceled independently through their own Admin → Billing settings.

What if I can't find the 'Cancel Account' button?

If the cancel option is not visible (e.g. for offline/invoiced accounts or certain plan types), email billing@freshworks.com with your account URL, company name, and cancellation request. Your account manager can also process the cancellation.

Export your account data

Before canceling, go to Admin → Account → Helpdesk → Data Export and click 'Export Now' to download your data. The export can take up to 10 business days, so initiate this first. Also export contacts via Admin → Contacts → Export all contacts.

Navigate to Admin settings

Log in as an Account Administrator (only admins can cancel). Click the gear icon (Admin) in the left navigation panel to open Admin settings.

Open Account Details

In Admin settings, select 'Account' from the left sidebar, then click 'Account Details'. This opens the account management page where the cancellation option is located.

Click 'Cancel Account'

Scroll down to the 'Account Status' section and click the 'Cancel Account' button. For Freshsales/Freshmarketer, instead go to Settings → Plans and Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel your Subscription (may require disabling your pop-up blocker).

Select cancellation reason

A form appears asking why you are canceling. Select the most applicable reason from the dropdown (e.g. 'Switching to a competitor', 'Too expensive', 'Missing features'). This step is required before proceeding.

Click 'Request Cancellation'

After selecting your reason, click the 'Request Cancellation' button. A confirmation popup will appear — click 'Confirm' to submit the cancellation request.

Await confirmation and account suspension

Your account will be suspended within 24 hours of the confirmed request. The account and all data are permanently and irreversibly deleted 14 days after the subscription end date. You will receive a confirmation email.
