Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your Headspace access continues until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). You will not be cut off the moment you cancel.

Can I get a refund if I cancel an annual subscription mid-year?

Generally no — Headspace does not offer pro-rated refunds for unused months on annual plans. However, first-time subscribers who cancel within 30 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund by contacting help@headspace.com.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through Apple or Google?

If you subscribed via Apple App Store, go to iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Headspace → Cancel Subscription. For Google Play, open the Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Headspace → Cancel Subscription. Headspace's website cannot cancel app store subscriptions.

Can I reactivate my Headspace subscription after cancelling?

Yes. Log back into your Headspace account at any time and select a new subscription plan to reactivate. Your meditation history and progress are retained.

Will my meditation progress and data be deleted when I cancel?

No. Your account data, stats, and meditation history are preserved after cancellation. Premium content will be locked, but your profile and progress remain accessible if you resubscribe.

What if there is no 'Cancel Membership' button on my account page?

This usually means your subscription was purchased through Apple or Google, so you must cancel through those platforms. If you believe you subscribed directly and still see no cancel option, contact Headspace support at help@headspace.com.

Log in to Headspace website

Open a browser and go to headspace.com. Log in to your account. Note: if you subscribed via Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through those platforms instead — this flow only works for direct Headspace.com subscribers.

Go to Account Settings

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page, then select 'Account' or navigate directly to headspace.com/subscription/manage.

Open Subscription management

In your account dashboard, click on the 'Subscription' section. You will see your current plan details, billing date, and renewal status.

Click 'Cancel Membership' or 'Turn off Auto-Renewal'

Scroll down to find the 'Cancel Membership' link or 'Turn off Auto-Renewal' button. Click it to begin the cancellation flow.

Select a cancellation reason

Headspace presents a reason survey with options such as 'Too expensive', 'Don't use it enough', 'Found a better app', and 'Other'. Select the option that applies and click 'Continue'.

Review retention offer screen

You will be shown a screen highlighting Headspace features (meditation, sleep, movement, kids content) with a green 'Never mind' button to go back. Below this, you may be offered options to contact support, change your payment plan, or get help finding time to meditate. Ignore these and look for the link to proceed with cancellation.

Confirm cancellation

Click the final 'Confirm Cancellation' or 'Cancel Subscription' button to complete the process. You will receive a confirmation email. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
