When does my A1 Internet contract actually end after I cancel?

A1 requires 1 month's notice to the end of the calendar month (1 Monat zum Monatsende). For example, if you submit your cancellation on November 5, your contract ends December 31. If you're still within the 24-month binding period, the contract runs until the end of that period — you cannot exit early without paying all remaining monthly fees.

Is there a cancellation fee or early termination penalty?

Prepare a cancellation letter

Write a signed cancellation letter (Kündigungsschreiben) including: full name and address, customer number (Kundennummer), contract/tariff name, and desired end date ('zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt' for earliest possible termination). Sign the document.

Visit the cancellation page

Go to a1.net/kuendigen. A1 displays a 'Meine Angebote' (My Offers) retention section with personalized discounts before showing cancellation options — skip this and proceed to the cancellation contact options.

Submit cancellation via email or fax
