Can I still access my dashboards after downgrading to the free Starter plan?

Yes, you retain access to Preset on the Starter tier (up to 5 users, limited features), but you lose Professional/Enterprise features such as dashboard embedding, advanced support, SSO, and API access. Export your data before canceling if you plan to leave entirely.

Are Preset subscription fees refundable?

Generally no. Preset's Terms of Service state that fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable. The only exception is if Preset materially breaches the agreement, in which case a pro-rated refund for the unused prepaid period may apply.

How do I export my data before canceling?

From within Superset, use the dashboard export feature to download a ZIP of your dashboards, charts, datasets, and database connections as YAML files. Alternatively, use the preset-cli tool: `preset-cli --workspaces=https:// .us1a.app.preset.io/ superset export /path/to/directory`. Note that orphaned charts or datasets not linked to any dashboard must be exported separately.

Can I reactivate my Preset account after canceling?

Yes, if you downgraded to the free Starter plan, you can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time from the Subscription Plan tab in Preset Manager. If you requested full account deletion, you would need to create a new account.

Who is allowed to cancel or change the subscription?

Sign in to Preset Manager

Go to https://manage.app.preset.io/app/ and sign in with your Preset account credentials. You must be a Team Admin to cancel or downgrade — regular members cannot access billing settings.

Open Team Management

On the Preset Manager dashboard, locate your team name and click the 'MANAGE TEAM' button next to it.

Go to Subscription Plan tab

Inside the team management panel, click the 'Subscription Plan' (sometimes labeled 'Subscription Plan/Payment') tab in the navigation.

Select Downgrade to Starter (Free)

In the plan comparison view, find the Starter (Free) plan panel and click the 'DOWNGRADE' button. This effectively cancels your paid subscription and moves you to the free tier.

Confirm the downgrade

A confirmation modal will appear summarizing what features you will lose. Review the changes and confirm the downgrade. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Request full account deletion (if needed)

If you want your account and data permanently deleted rather than just downgraded to free, email support@preset.io or submit a ticket at https://preset.io/support/ requesting full account termination. Export your dashboards, charts, and datasets before doing this.
