Will I still have access after I cancel?

Yes. If you are on an annual plan, you retain full access to Spellbook for the remainder of your current annual term after cancelling. Monthly subscribers retain access until the end of their current billing cycle.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Spellbook does not offer refunds after the trial period ends. The only exception is if you notify them during the trial that you do not wish to continue and they charge you anyway — in that case, you are entitled to a refund for that mistaken charge.

How do I cancel during a free trial?

During a free trial, contact your designated Spellbook Sales Representative directly to request cancellation before the trial converts to a paid subscription.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes, you can reactivate by contacting success@spellbook.legal. You would need to sign up for a new subscription term.

What happens to my documents and data after cancellation?

Spellbook's terms of service govern data retention after cancellation. For specific data deletion requests, contact success@spellbook.legal and reference their privacy policy for details.

Will my subscription auto-renew if I do nothing?

Compose cancellation email

Open your email client and create a new email addressed to success@spellbook.legal.

Write your cancellation request

In the subject line write 'Subscription Cancellation Request'. In the body, include your account email address, your firm/organization name, and clearly state that you wish to cancel your Spellbook subscription.

Specify subscription type if annual

If you are on an annual plan, explicitly state that you do not want it to auto-renew. Spellbook will confirm cancellation and ensure no renewal occurs while you retain access through the end of your current term.

Send and await confirmation

Send the email to success@spellbook.legal and wait for a reply from the Customer Success team confirming your cancellation has been processed. Keep this confirmation for your records.
