Log in to 1&1 Control-Center
Go to control-center.1und1.de and log in with your customer number (Kundennummer) and password.
Open your contract
Click on 'Vertrag' (Contract) in the top navigation, then select the specific contract you want to cancel from the list.
Initiate cancellation
Scroll down to find the 'Vertrag kündigen' (Cancel contract) button and click it. Then click 'Hier Kündigung vormerken' (Note cancellation here) to proceed.
Select cancellation reason
Choose a reason for cancellation from the dropdown or enter a custom reason. This step may be optional — you can skip or select any reason without impact.
Decline retention offer
A screen titled 'Ihre Treue-Vorteile' (Your loyalty benefits) appears with discounts or upgrade offers. Click 'Trotzdem kündigen' (Cancel anyway) or 'Hier Kündigung vormerken' again to proceed.
Select cancellation date and confirm
Choose your desired cancellation date (earliest possible is shown automatically). Click 'Jetzt Kündigung vormerken' (Note cancellation now) to submit. Save the reference number shown on the confirmation screen.
Confirm by phone within 7 days
Call 1&1 customer service at 0721 96 00 (free from 1&1 network) within 7 days and provide your reference number to verbally confirm the cancellation. Without this call, the cancellation is void. The notice period is preserved from the date of the online submission.
