Can I access my data after cancelling?

Once your account is cancelled, all data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Export your data (contacts, projects, records) before initiating cancellation.

Does Insightly offer refunds for unused time?

No. Insightly explicitly does not provide refunds or credits for unused time remaining in a subscription term, regardless of whether you are on a monthly or annual plan.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

If you cancelled without deleting your data, you may be able to reactivate by contacting Insightly support. However, if you selected the 'delete everything' option, your data is gone and a new account would need to be created from scratch.

How long does it take for an annual account to be cancelled?

Annual billing accounts are not cancelled instantly. After submitting the request, an Insightly representative contacts you to process the cancellation. Timing depends on support response time, which can take 1–3 business days.

Can I downgrade to the free plan instead of cancelling?

Insightly offers a free plan, but downgrading requires that your usage (users, records, files, custom fields) falls within the free tier limits. You must delete excess items first, then contact Insightly support to complete the downgrade.

What happens to Insightly for G Suite accounts?

If you use Insightly through Google Workspace (G Suite), your G Suite admin must also separately remove the Insightly app from your domain in the Google Admin console after cancelling the Insightly subscription.

Log in as an admin

Sign in to your Insightly account at app.insightly.com. Only account admins can cancel a paid subscription — standard users do not have access to billing controls.

Open your profile menu

Click the profile/avatar icon in the top-right corner of the Insightly dashboard to open the account dropdown menu.

Navigate to Billing & Account

From the dropdown, select 'Billing & Account'. This opens the billing management section where you can view your current plan, payment details, and cancellation options.

Click 'Cancel Account'

Inside Billing & Account, find and click the 'Cancel Account' option in the left navigation or at the bottom of the billing page.

Submit cancellation request

Click 'Request Account Cancellation'. You will be asked to select a reason for cancelling and provide a phone number. For monthly-billed accounts, cancellation may process immediately. For annual-billed accounts (the current default), a support representative will contact you to complete the cancellation — the process is not fully self-service.

Optional: Request full data deletion

If you also want your data permanently deleted, select 'Please cancel and delete my account', type 'Delete Everything' in the confirmation text box, then click 'Delete Account'. This is irreversible — all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
