Do I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Scribe does not offer refunds for the current billing period. Your Pro access simply continues until the period ends, at which point you revert to the Free plan.

What happens to my guides after cancellation?

All guides remain in your account — no content is deleted. However, the Free plan limits you to sharing 10 Scribes at a time; any beyond that automatically become private. Custom branding and advanced export options are also disabled.

When does Pro access end?

Access continues until the last day of your current paid billing period. After cancelling you will see a 'Your plan will end on [date]' notice in Settings > Plans & Billing.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. You can upgrade back to Pro at any time from Settings > Plans & Billing. All your guides and data are preserved. If your billing period has already expired, you start a fresh subscription rather than resuming the old one.

Who is allowed to cancel a team subscription?

Only the Workspace Owner can access billing settings and cancel. Workspace admins and members do not have access to the Plans & Billing section.

What if I subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?

If you subscribed via Apple or Google, you must cancel through those platforms directly (App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions). The in-app cancellation flow on scribehow.com will not apply.

Open Settings

Go to https://scribehow.com/settings or click the workspace dropdown in the top-left corner of the app and select 'Settings'.

Go to Plans & Billing

In the left sidebar, click 'Plans & Billing', then click the 'Subscription Plans' sub-section.

Click 'Cancel Pro Plan'

Scroll to your current plan and click the 'Cancel Pro Plan' button.

Confirm downgrade

A dialog appears — click 'Downgrade to Free', then click 'Continue to cancellation'.

Complete the exit survey

Scribe displays a feedback survey asking why Pro wasn't a good fit. Complete or dismiss it to proceed.

Cancellation confirmed

A confirmation screen appears and a confirmation email is sent to your account email. Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
