When does my coverage actually end after I cancel?

For standard cancellations, coverage continues until your annual renewal date ('huvudförfallodagen'), and you keep paying premiums until then. Immediate cancellation is only allowed if your pet has died or been sold/rehomed. Submit your cancellation at least one month before your renewal date to avoid being auto-renewed for another year.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Refunds are only available in two cases: (1) within the 14-day cooling-off period ('ångerrätt') if you signed up online or by phone — you get a full refund minus any claims; (2) if cancelling due to your pet's death or sale, you receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the policy year. Voluntary mid-year cancellations receive no refund.

Can I cancel by stopping my direct debit or autopay?

No. Stopping autopay from your bank only halts payments — it does not cancel the insurance contract. The policy remains active and Agria may pursue the outstanding debt. You must formally cancel through Agria's website, by phone (0775-88 88 88), or by email (info@agria.se).

How do I cancel if I don't have BankID or can't access the website?

You can cancel by phone at 0775-88 88 88 (be prepared for hold times of up to an hour or more), by email at info@agria.se (include your full name, personnummer, and policy number), or by post to Agria Djurförsäkring, 106 27 Stockholm.

How do I reactivate or get a new policy after cancelling?

You must apply for a new policy at agria.se or by calling 0775-88 88 88. Note that any conditions your pet was treated for while previously insured may be excluded as pre-existing conditions on a new policy, and premiums are reassessed based on your pet's current age.

What information do I need to cancel?

Have your försäkringsnummer (policy number, found on your insurance documents or invoices), full name, and Swedish personnummer (personal ID number) ready. For pet death cancellations, you may need to provide documentation.

Visit the cancellation page

Go to https://www.agria.se/forsakring/avsluta-forsakringen/ or navigate to agria.se and click 'Mitt Agria' in the top right corner.

Log in with BankID

Click 'Logga in' and authenticate using BankID (Swedish mobile bank ID). You must have a Swedish BankID to access your account online.

Open 'Mina försäkringar'

After logging in, navigate to 'Mina försäkringar' (My Insurance) in your account dashboard to see a list of all your active policies.

Select the policy to cancel

Click on the specific insurance policy (e.g., your pet's name or policy number) that you want to cancel.

Click 'Avsluta försäkring'

Find and click the 'Avsluta försäkring' (End insurance) or 'Säg upp' button on the policy detail page and follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

Confirm cancellation and save confirmation

Complete the cancellation request and save or screenshot the written confirmation. Agria should also send a confirmation by email. Note that cancellation typically takes effect at your next annual renewal date, not immediately.
