Do I still have access after cancelling?

No. Access to the Control Panel and API is terminated immediately upon confirmation. Email sending stops instantly with no grace period.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Mailgun's Terms of Service do not guarantee refunds upon cancellation. Plans are billed month-to-month and charges are generally non-refundable. Billing disputes may be handled case-by-case by contacting support.

Can I reactivate my cancelled account?

No. Cancellation is permanent and irreversible — a cancelled account cannot be reactivated. You would need to create a brand-new Mailgun account. Note: if your account was merely disabled due to a failed payment (not cancelled), you can reactivate via Billing → 'Retry payment'.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

All account data — logs, message history, templates, domains, API keys, suppression lists, and analytics — is permanently and immediately deleted. There is no post-cancellation export window, so export logs as CSV, save invoices, and copy API keys before cancelling.

Is there a free plan I can downgrade to instead of cancelling?

There is no free tier. The lowest option is the Flex (Pay-As-You-Go) plan, which has no monthly base fee and charges only per email sent. You can downgrade to Flex via Profile → Plan & Billing → gear icon next to your current plan → Downgrade.

Will I be charged anything when I cancel?

Yes. Any outstanding balance on your account will be charged immediately when you confirm cancellation.

Log in to Mailgun Control Panel

Go to https://app.mailgun.com and sign in with your Mailgun credentials.

Open Profile dropdown

Click your profile icon or account name in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open the dropdown menu.

Select 'Manage Account'

From the dropdown menu, click 'Manage Account' to open your account settings page.

Scroll to bottom and click 'Request Cancellation'

Scroll to the bottom of the Manage Account page and click the 'Request Cancellation' button.

Confirm cancellation in the modal

A confirmation modal appears warning that cancellation is immediate and irreversible and all data will be permanently deleted. Click 'Proceed with account cancellation' to confirm. Any outstanding balance will be charged at this point.
