Log in to hl.co.uk
Go to hl.co.uk and log in to your Hargreaves Lansdown account using your client number and password.
Sell or Transfer Your Investments
Before closing, you must either sell all investments or initiate an in-specie transfer to another provider. To transfer, contact HL's helpline or initiate via the 'My Accounts' section.
Withdraw Cash Balance
Once investments are sold, go to 'My Accounts' → 'Withdraw' and transfer your full cash balance to your nominated bank account.
Download Statements and Tax Reports
Before closing, download your annual statements and consolidated tax certificate from 'My Documents' for your records.
Submit Account Closure Form
Contact HL to request account closure. You can do this by calling 0117 900 9000 or submitting a secure message via 'My Account' → 'Messages'. HL will send a closure confirmation letter.
