Is there a cancellation fee?

No. Telnyx operates with no contracts and no cancellation fees.

Can I get a refund on my unused balance?

Yes. Email billing@telnyx.com to request a refund of your unused account balance. Payments older than 180 days are non-refundable, and Bitcoin payments are never refundable. Already-consumed services (pay-as-you-go usage) are also non-refundable.

What happens to my phone numbers after cancellation?

Your phone numbers are released. If your account has a negative balance at cancellation, numbers enter a 2-week 'hold' period (only you can repurchase them), then a 2-week 'aging' period (unavailable to anyone), before becoming publicly available again. It's recommended to port or release numbers before cancelling if you need to keep them.

Can I reactivate my account after cancellation?

Yes. Email support@telnyx.com from the account owner's registered email address to request reactivation.

What is the Security Passphrase and where do I find it?

The Security Passphrase is a separate credential from your login password, used only for identity verification with Telnyx support. Find it in the portal under: Profile icon → Account Settings → Security tab.

Can an organisation owner cancel a sub-member's account?

Yes. Organisation owners can request cancellation of a managed sub-account by emailing support@telnyx.com and providing the sub-member's email address.

Log in to Telnyx Portal

Go to portal.telnyx.com and sign in with your account credentials.

Find your Security Passphrase

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, select 'Account Settings', then navigate to the 'Security' tab. Locate your Security Passphrase — this is a separate credential from your login password, required for identity verification with support.

Compose cancellation email

Open your email client and compose a new email to support@telnyx.com from the registered account owner's email address. In the body, include your Security Passphrase and state that you want to cancel your account.

Send the cancellation request

Send the email to support@telnyx.com. The request must come from the account owner's registered email address — requests from other addresses will not be processed.

Request a refund if applicable

If you have an unused account balance you want refunded, send a separate email to billing@telnyx.com requesting a balance refund. Note: payments older than 180 days and Bitcoin payments are non-refundable.

Await confirmation from support

Wait for a confirmation email from Telnyx support confirming your account has been cancelled. Telnyx support is available 24/7 but no specific SLA is stated for processing cancellations.
