Can I still play after cancelling?

Yes. Your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. Blizzard shows the exact end date on the cancellation confirmation screen. You will not be charged again after that date.

Are WoW subscriptions refundable?

Generally no — WoW subscriptions are non-refundable once billed. However, Blizzard's refund policy allows a review request within 14 days for unused subscription time in some cases. Contact Blizzard support to check eligibility; refunds for subscription time lost due to a suspension or account closure are explicitly excluded.

Will my characters and progress be deleted?

No. Blizzard does not delete characters or account data when a subscription lapses. All characters, achievements, mounts, and cosmetics remain intact and are accessible again immediately upon resubscribing.

How do I reactivate my subscription?

Log back into account.battle.net, go to 'Games & Subscriptions', select World of Warcraft, and click 'Subscribe' or 'Reactivate'. You will need a valid payment method on file. Access is restored instantly after payment.

What if I don't see a 'Cancel Subscription' button?

If the button is missing, your subscription is likely already set to non-renewing (already cancelled) or you may be on a game-time card rather than a recurring subscription. Check the subscription status shown on the Games & Subscriptions page.

Can I cancel through the Battle.net desktop app?

No. The Battle.net desktop app does not support subscription cancellation. You must use the website at account.battle.net to cancel.

Go to Battle.net Account Management

Open your browser and navigate to account.battle.net. Log in with your Blizzard account credentials (email and password, plus any two-factor authentication if enabled).

Open 'Games & Subscriptions'

Once logged in, click on the 'Games & Subscriptions' tab in the account management dashboard. This lists all active Blizzard game subscriptions tied to your account.

Click 'Manage' next to World of Warcraft

Find the World of Warcraft entry in the list. Click the 'Manage' button or link directly next to it to open the subscription management page for that game.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

On the WoW subscription management page, click the 'Cancel Subscription' button. If this button is not visible, your subscription may already be cancelled or set to non-renewing.

Answer the exit survey (first question only required)

Blizzard presents a short survey asking why you are cancelling (e.g. 'Too expensive', 'Not enough time', 'Taking a break'). Only the first question is required — the rest are optional. Select your reason and continue.

Confirm cancellation

Review the confirmation screen showing your access end date (the remaining days already paid for). Click 'Cancel Subscription' or 'Confirm' to finalise. You will receive a confirmation email from Blizzard.
