Log in to Wealthsimple
Go to wealthsimple.com or open the Wealthsimple app and log in to your account.
Sell or Transfer Your Investments
Go to your portfolio and sell all holdings, or initiate a transfer to another Canadian broker. If you have a TFSA or RRSP, consider transferring rather than withdrawing to avoid losing registered room.
Withdraw Your Cash Balance
After selling, go to 'Move Money' → 'Withdraw' and transfer your balance to your linked Canadian bank account.
Access Profile Settings
Tap your profile icon and go to 'Settings' → 'Account Settings' to find the account closure option.
Request Account Closure
Select 'Close Account' and follow the confirmation steps, or contact Wealthsimple support via chat for assistance with account closure.

Before closing your Wealthsimple account, keep in mind that Wealthsimple's basic plan is completely free — no monthly fees, no commissions on Canadian stocks and ETFs.
