Sign in as Primary Admin
Go to app.qbo.intuit.com and sign in. Only the Primary Admin or Company Admin account can cancel — the cancel option is not visible to other user roles. Cancellation must be done via a web browser, not the mobile app.
Open Subscriptions and Billing
Click the Gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner of the dashboard, then select 'Subscriptions and billing' from the dropdown menu. Some UI versions show this as 'Account and Settings' → 'Billing & Subscription' tab.
Click 'Cancel subscription'
In the QuickBooks Online section of the billing page, click the 'Cancel subscription' or 'Cancel online' link.
Complete the cancellation survey
A cancellation survey appears. Select a reason for cancelling from the dropdown menu, then click 'Continue to cancel'.
Confirm on the benefits reminder page
A page appears showing product benefits and your last day of service access. Review the information, then click 'Continue to cancel' again to proceed.
Acknowledge cancellation confirmation
A confirmation pop-up displays: 'Your subscription is cancelled.' Click 'Got it' to close. A confirmation email is sent to the account's primary email address.
