Can I get a refund if I cancel a paid Cribl subscription mid-term?

Only for Software subscriptions under the standard Subscription Services Agreement: send 30 days written notice to legal@cribl.io and Cribl must refund the prepaid unused portion within 30 days. However, if you are on a Capacity Commitment (pre-purchased credits) plan, the agreement explicitly removes all refund rights — unused credits may roll over up to 20% annually but cannot be refunded.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Access to all Subscription Services terminates immediately upon the effective cancellation date. Cribl may retain encrypted copies under its standard backup and data retention policies, subject to confidentiality obligations. No specific data deletion timeline or SLA is stated in the public agreement.

Can I reactivate my Cribl account after canceling?

For the free tier, you can reverse deletion by emailing support@cribl.io any time within the 30-day grace period after initiating deletion. For paid plans, reactivation requires signing a new Order Form and going through the sales process again.

Does Cribl auto-renew paid subscriptions?

Direct contracts under the standard Subscription Services Agreement do not auto-renew — renewal requires a new Order Form. However, AWS Marketplace contract subscriptions do auto-renew by default and must be explicitly canceled via the 'Modify renewal → Cancel renewal' flow in the AWS Marketplace console before the renewal date.

What happens to my Cribl deployment if my license expires?

If your paid license expires, Cribl Stream/Edge falls back to the free license tier (1 TB/day ingest limit). If no valid free license exists, the product backpressures and blocks all incoming data. Note that the free tier requires telemetry to remain enabled — disabling telemetry causes data blocking within 24 hours.

Determine your subscription type

Identify how you purchased Cribl: (a) Cribl.Cloud free tier — manage.cribl.cloud; (b) Direct paid contract — requires contacting sales; (c) AWS Marketplace — cancel via AWS console. The cancellation path differs significantly between these.

For free tier: open Manage Organizations

Log in at manage.cribl.cloud. Click the organization name in the top navigation to open the organization switcher dropdown, then select 'Manage Organizations'. Select your organization from the list.

For free tier: delete the organization

On the organization detail page, click 'Delete'. Confirm the deletion. This starts a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion — you will receive an email 7 days before it is finalized. To reverse, email support@cribl.io within the 30-day window.

For paid direct contract: send written notice to legal@cribl.io

Email legal@cribl.io with written notice of termination. Under the Cribl Subscription Services Agreement (Section 12.2(a)), Software subscriptions may be terminated with 30 days written notice. You are entitled to a refund of prepaid unused fees within 30 days — unless you are on a Capacity Commitment (pre-purchased credits) plan, in which case no refund is available. For AWS Marketplace: open Manage Subscriptions

Go to console.aws.amazon.com/marketplace and navigate to 'Manage subscriptions'. In the 'Delivery method' dropdown, select 'SaaS', then click on the Cribl subscription.

For AWS Marketplace: cancel the subscription

Under the 'Agreement' section, open the 'Actions' dropdown and select 'Cancel subscription'. In the confirmation dialog, type 'confirm' and click 'Yes, cancel subscription'. For auto-renewal cancellation only: go to the product detail page, click 'Continue', select the 'Modify renewal' tab, then click 'Cancel renewal'.

For the free tier, watch for a confirmation email from Cribl about the 30-day deletion window. For paid direct contracts, confirm receipt of your notice with legal@cribl.io and your Account Executive. For AWS Marketplace, the console will reflect the cancelled status immediately.
