Can I downgrade to the Free plan instead of cancelling entirely?

Yes. Snyk offers a permanent Free plan for individual developers and small teams. You can request a downgrade to Free through support rather than a full cancellation. The Free plan includes limited scans per product but no cost.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate by contacting Snyk Sales at snyk.io/plans or through the support portal to purchase a new subscription. Your historical project data may be retained if the account was not deleted.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your project data and scan history remain in your account unless you separately request account deletion. To have your data removed, submit a deletion request to support.snyk.io referencing your organization name.

Log in to your Snyk account

Go to app.snyk.io and sign in with your credentials.

Check your current plan

In the left sidebar, click your Organization name, then go to 'Settings'. Under the 'Plans and Billing' section you can view your active plan. Note: the UI states 'Billing is through a contract and cannot be changed by using this option' — there is no self-service Cancel button.

Contact Snyk Support or your sales representative

Visit support.snyk.io and submit a cancellation request via the support portal, or email support@snyk.io. If you are on an Enterprise or Ignite plan you were assigned a sales representative — contact them directly as cancellations for contract-based plans must go through them.

Submit cancellation notice

In your support ticket or email, state that you wish to cancel your subscription and request confirmation. Snyk's Terms of Service require notice of termination prior to the end of the current Term. Paid subscriptions auto-renew for 12-month periods, so submit your notice well before the renewal date.

Receive cancellation confirmation

Wait for Snyk Support or your sales rep to confirm the cancellation in writing. Keep this confirmation for your records. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

(Optional) Delete your account

If you also want to delete your Snyk user account and data entirely, visit support.snyk.io and submit a separate account deletion request referencing your organization name and email.
