Will I lose my data when I cancel?

No. Cancelling a paid Zoho CRM subscription downgrades your account to the free plan — it does not delete your data. Your contacts, deals, and configurations are preserved. However, Zoho may permanently delete data from accounts that remain inactive for 120 days, so it is strongly recommended to export a data backup via Setup > Data Backup before cancelling.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

For monthly plans: no refund for the current billing period; access continues until the period ends. For annual plans: a full refund is available if you cancel within 45 days of purchase. If your annual plan auto-renewed, you have 15 days to request a full refund. Mid-cycle cancellations on annual plans receive a pro-rated credit applied as a subscription extension — not a cash refund. Contact payments@zohocorp.com for refund requests.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes, at any time. Log back into your Zoho CRM account and click 'Upgrade My Subscription' to reactivate. Your data and settings are retained on the free plan, so reactivation is straightforward.

Does cancelling Zoho CRM affect my other Zoho products?

No. Cancelling or deleting your Zoho CRM subscription does not affect other standalone Zoho services such as Zoho Mail, Zoho Books, or Zoho Desk. Each product has its own subscription and billing cycle.

Who is allowed to cancel the subscription?

Only the Super Admin (the account owner) can cancel a Zoho CRM subscription. Regular admins and standard users do not have access to billing controls and cannot initiate cancellation.

What happens to my account after I cancel — is it deleted?

Cancelling a paid plan does not delete your account. It downgrades you to the free plan, where you keep your data and a limited feature set. If you want to fully delete the CRM account, that is a separate process: downgrade first, deactivate all users except the Super Admin, wait 7 days, then go to Setup > General > Company Settings and click 'Delete CRM account'.

Log in as Super Admin

Log into your Zoho CRM or CRM Plus account. Only the Super Admin (account owner) can cancel a subscription — regular admins cannot access billing controls.

Open profile menu

Click your profile icon (user avatar) in the upper-right corner of the Zoho dashboard to open the dropdown menu.

Go to Manage Billings

In the dropdown, click 'Manage Billings' under the Subscription section. This opens the Subscription Details page in Zoho Store.

Reveal Cancel Subscription button

On the Subscription Details page, hover your mouse cursor over your current plan card. A hidden 'Cancel Subscription' button will appear on hover — it is not visible by default.

Click Cancel Subscription

Click the 'Cancel Subscription' button that appears. A confirmation dialog will open asking you to confirm your intent.

Check confirmation box and select reason

Check the confirmation checkbox in the dialog, then select a reason for cancelling from the required dropdown (e.g. 'Switching to another product', 'Too expensive', etc.).

Choose cancellation timing

Choose when to cancel: leave 'Downgrade automatically at the end of current billing cycle' checked (default) to keep access until your period ends, or uncheck it to downgrade immediately.

Confirm the downgrade

Click the 'Confirm Downgrade' button. A final screen shows two options: 'Downgrade Immediately' to confirm, or 'Resume Subscription' to revert. Click 'Downgrade Immediately' to complete cancellation. Your account moves to the free plan.
