Will I still be charged after deleting my clusters?

No. YugabyteDB Aeon bills per-minute per active cluster. Once all clusters are terminated, all billing stops immediately. There is no monthly flat fee — usage charges cease as soon as all clusters are gone.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Per the YugabyteDB Aeon Terms of Service (Section 3.3), all fees are non-refundable. This also applies to annual commitments purchased through AWS Marketplace, which are explicitly non-cancellable and non-refundable.

What happens to my data when I terminate a cluster?

All data and backups are permanently and immediately deleted when a cluster is terminated. There is no grace period or recovery option — make sure to export any data you need before terminating.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?

Yes. Use 'Pause/Resume Cluster' from the Actions menu to pause without deleting. Paused clusters do not incur compute charges but still bill for disk and backup storage. Clusters paused for 30 days trigger a notification from Yugabyte.

How do I fully close my YugabyteDB account?

Full account closure is not self-service. After terminating all clusters, submit a support request at https://support.yugabyte.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003113431 to have the account permanently deleted.

How do I cancel a YugabyteDB subscription purchased through AWS Marketplace?

Pay-as-you-go subscriptions via AWS Marketplace can be canceled at any time with no penalty. Annual commitment subscriptions are non-cancellable — all fees remain due for the full term. Cancel via your AWS Marketplace subscriptions dashboard.

Log in to YugabyteDB Aeon

Go to https://cloud.yugabyte.com and sign in with your account credentials.

Open the Clusters page

In the left navigation, click 'Clusters' to see a list of all your active clusters.

Open the Actions menu

For each cluster, click the three-dot icon (⋮) or the 'Actions' button in the top-right corner of the cluster card.

Select 'Terminate Cluster'

From the dropdown menu, click 'Terminate Cluster'. A confirmation dialog will appear warning: 'Deleting a cluster deletes all of its data, including backups.' This action is irreversible.

Confirm termination

Confirm the deletion in the dialog to permanently terminate the cluster. Repeat steps 3–5 for every remaining cluster in your account.

Request full account closure (optional)

To fully close your account, submit a support ticket at https://support.yugabyte.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003113431. There is no self-service account deletion button — you must contact support.
