Yes, for paid subscribers access continues until the end of the current billing period. If you are on a free trial, access ends immediately upon cancellation.

No refunds are issued for the current billing period. However, under EU consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from your subscription start date. Contact help@bookbeat.com to request this refund.

How do I know my cancellation was successful?

You must click the confirmation link sent to your email — only then is the cancellation finalized. BookBeat will send a second email confirming the cancellation is complete. If you receive no emails, check your spam folder.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. Log in at bookbeat.com/hu, go to 'My account', click 'Choose subscription', select a plan, and complete payment. Your listening history and bookmarks are preserved.

Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling?

BookBeat does not offer a native pause feature. The recommended workaround is to cancel and reactivate when ready — your progress and saved books are retained.

What happens to extra profiles when I cancel?

All additional profiles lose access at the end of the current paid billing period along with the main account.

Log in to BookBeat

Go to www.bookbeat.com/hu and log in to your account. Alternatively, navigate directly to https://www.bookbeat.com/hu/cancel-subscription to use the self-service form without logging in.

Open My Account

After logging in, click your profile icon or 'My account' in the top-right corner of the page.

Navigate to Subscription

In the account menu, click the 'Subscription' section, then click 'Manage subscription'.

Click Cancel Subscription

Click the 'Cancel subscription' button. You will be shown a retention survey asking why you want to cancel — complete it and proceed.

Decline retention offer

BookBeat may present a discounted offer (e.g. '1 month for only [discounted price]') with a 'Send me offers' button and emotional messaging about new books. Click 'Cancel subscription' again to decline and continue.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Confirm cancellation' on the final confirmation screen. A 'Keep subscription' / 'Go Back' button will also be visible — ignore these and confirm.

Click confirmation link in email

Check your inbox for a cancellation confirmation email from BookBeat and click the confirmation link inside it. The cancellation is NOT finalized until this link is clicked — if you skip this step, your subscription continues.
