No. Microsoft Clarity is completely free with no paid tiers, no credit card required, and no traffic limits. There is no subscription to cancel — 'cancellation' means deleting your project and removing the tracking code from your site.

Can I recover a deleted Clarity project?

No. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Microsoft Clarity explicitly states it cannot restore deleted projects. You would need to create a new project with a new tracking code, and all historical data would be lost.

Can I delete just one user's session data or a single recording?

No. Clarity does not support selective deletion of individual recordings or user sessions. To remove any user data, you must delete the entire project.

What happens to my team members when I delete a project?

Sign in to Microsoft Clarity

Go to clarity.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft account (or Google/other linked account). You must have Admin role on the project to proceed.

Open the project

From the Projects home screen, click on the project you want to remove.

Go to Settings > Overview

Click the 'Settings' tab in the left navigation panel, then select 'Overview' from the Settings submenu.

Click 'Delete this project'

Scroll to the bottom of the Overview page and click the red 'Delete this project' button.

Confirm deletion

A confirmation pop-up appears. Optionally fill in the feedback field explaining why you're leaving, then click the 'Delete' button to permanently remove the project and all its data.

Remove the tracking code from your website

After deleting the project, remove the Clarity JavaScript snippet from your website's HTML (or tag manager) to stop any future data collection attempts.
