Do I keep access after cancelling?

Yes. After cancelling, you retain full access to Coursera Plus content until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After that date, access to graded assignments and new certificates is removed, but free audit access to courses remains.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Coursera offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on Coursera Plus. If you cancel within 14 days of your most recent payment and have not yet earned a certificate in that period, you can request a refund via account settings or by contacting support. After 14 days, no prorated refund is issued.

Will I lose my course progress and certificates?

No. All earned certificates are permanently linked to your Coursera account and remain accessible after cancellation. Your course progress and submitted assignments are also saved — if you resubscribe later, you can pick up exactly where you left off.

How do I cancel if I subscribed via the App Store or Google Play?

If you subscribed through Apple, go to iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Coursera → Cancel Subscription. For Google Play, open the Play Store → tap your profile → Subscriptions → Coursera → Cancel. The Coursera website cannot cancel App Store or Play Store subscriptions.

Can I reactivate my Coursera Plus after cancelling?

Yes. You can resubscribe to Coursera Plus at any time from coursera.org/courseraplus. Your previous progress and certificates will still be there.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your account data, progress, and certificates are retained. If you want your personal data deleted, you must separately submit a data deletion request through Coursera's privacy settings or by contacting support — cancellation alone does not delete your account or data.

Go to Account Settings

Log in to your Coursera account and navigate to coursera.org/account-settings (you can also reach this by clicking your profile avatar in the top-right corner and selecting 'Settings').

Open the Subscriptions section

On the Account Settings page, scroll down to find the 'Subscriptions' section. Here you will see your active Coursera Plus plan listed (monthly or annual).

Click 'Cancel' next to your plan

Find your Coursera Plus subscription in the list and click the 'Cancel' link or button next to it.

Review retention offers

Coursera may present retention offers such as a discounted rate or a pause option. Review these and click 'Continue to cancel' or equivalent to proceed with cancellation.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Cancel subscription' on the confirmation screen to finalize. You will receive a confirmation email and retain access until the end of your current billing period.
