Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Folk's Terms of Use state that all fees are non-refundable, including for unused services or cancelled accounts. The only exception is if you need to add a tax ID before payment posts — contact folks@folk.app in that case.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your data is not immediately deleted. After your account is blocked, Folk begins a deletion process after 60 days of inactivity, with warning emails sent first. After a 30-day backup retention period, data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted (approximately 90 days total).

Can I reactivate my Folk subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can log back in and resubscribe at any time, provided your data has not yet been deleted.

Should I export my data before cancelling?

Yes, it is strongly recommended. Export your contacts and data before cancelling, as your account will be blocked once the billing period ends and data may become inaccessible.

What if I'm on a Custom plan — can I still self-cancel?

No. Custom plan subscribers cannot cancel through the app. You must contact Folk directly via live chat (the '?' button in the bottom right of the app) or by emailing folks@folk.app.

Log in to Folk

Go to app.folk.app and log in to your Folk account.

Open Settings

Click on your account menu and select 'Settings'.

Navigate to Plans

In the Settings sidebar, click 'Plans' to open your subscription details.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Click the 'Cancel subscription' button located in the top right corner of the Plans page.

Submit cancellation feedback

Complete the feedback form explaining why you are cancelling (this step is required before the cancellation is confirmed).

Confirm cancellation

Confirm your cancellation. You will retain full access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
