Can I cancel Greenhouse mid-contract?

How much notice do I need to give to cancel?

You must submit written non-renewal notice at least 30 days before your contract renewal date. For annual contracts, Greenhouse is required to notify you of the upcoming auto-renewal at least 60 days in advance, giving you a window to act.

Will I get a refund if I cancel?

Generally no. Fees are non-refundable. The only exception is if Greenhouse commits a material breach of the Master Subscription Agreement or violates its SLA, in which case you may receive a pro-rated refund for prepaid unused fees.

Locate your contract end date

Retrieve your original Order Form (sent at signup or stored in your email/legal systems). Identify your subscription term end date and the renewal date, as Greenhouse operates on fixed annual contracts — mid-term cancellation is not permitted.

Watch for Greenhouse's 60-day renewal notice

For annual or longer contracts, Greenhouse is contractually required to email you a pending auto-renewal notice at least 60 days before your next renewal term begins. This notice serves as your window to act.

Submit written non-renewal notice

Send a written cancellation/non-renewal notice to your assigned Customer Success Manager and CC accounting@greenhouse.io. This must be received at least 30 days before your renewal date. State clearly that you do not wish to renew and reference your account/Order Form number.

Request written confirmation

Ask Greenhouse to confirm in writing that your non-renewal notice has been received and logged, and that your account will not auto-renew. Keep this confirmation for your records.

Export your data before term end

Before your subscription expires, log in to app.greenhouse.io and export all candidate data, job postings, reports, and integrations. Go to Configure > Data Export to download your records. Data export is free at any point during the active term.

Confirm account expiry and data deletion timeline

Your access ends on the last day of your contracted term. All customer data is queued for deletion 90 days after expiration — confirm this timeline with your CSM and complete any final exports well in advance.
