Do I lose access to my data immediately after canceling?

No. Your access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. After that, the team becomes inactive and all project data is locked (not deleted). You must re-subscribe to access it again.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

No. Maze's Terms of Service state that all fees are non-refundable. There is no prorated refund for unused time.

Can I reactivate my account after canceling?

Yes. Your data is preserved (locked, not deleted) and you can reactivate at any time by going to the team switcher, selecting your inactive team, clicking 'Reactivate Team', choosing a plan and billing cycle, and completing payment.

What if the 'Cancel subscription' button is missing?

The cancel button is hidden when there is a past-due invoice or billing issue on the account. In that case, contact Maze support at help.maze.co/hc/en-us/requests/new to cancel manually.

How do I cancel a Team or Organization plan?

Team and Organization plan customers cannot self-serve cancel. You must send a written cancellation notice to help@maze.design at least 30 days before the end of your current subscription period.

Should I export my data before canceling?

Yes. Export your results before canceling by opening a maze project, clicking the gear icon (top right) → Settings → Export → Download CSV. After cancellation the team locks and data becomes inaccessible without resubscribing.

Open Team Settings

Go to the Plan tab

Inside Team Settings, click the 'Plan' tab at the top of the page.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the Plan page and click the 'Cancel subscription' button. This button is only visible to the team owner and only appears when the subscription is active with no past-due invoices.

Review cancellation summary

A summary screen appears showing what will change and the effective cancellation date (end of current billing cycle). Click 'Continue'.

Select cancellation reason

Choose your main reason for canceling from the list presented (exit survey step). This is required before proceeding.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Continue to cancel' to finalize. You will retain access until the end of the current billing period.
