Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Whether you downgrade online or notify your account executive, paid access continues until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). You then revert to the free tier.

Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-term?

Sauce Labs does not publicly document prorated refunds for cancellations. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle and you retain access until then, but a cash refund for unused time is not guaranteed. Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. Downgrading to the free plan does not delete your account. You can re-subscribe to a paid plan at any time by returning to the Billing page and selecting an upgraded plan.

What happens to my test data after I cancel?

Your account remains active on the free tier after downgrading, so data is not immediately deleted. For full account and data deletion, submit a privacy request to privacy@saucelabs.com or use https://yourdigitalrights.org/d/saucelabs.com.

What if I signed up via a free trial and never upgraded?

Free trial accounts at Sauce Labs do not require a credit card upfront. Once the trial expires, the account automatically reverts to a free tier — no cancellation action is needed unless you converted to a paid plan during the trial.

Determine your plan type

Sauce Visual is sold as an enterprise product. Log in at https://app.saucelabs.com and check your billing type. If you pay by credit card (self-serve), you can downgrade online. If you are on an invoiced enterprise plan, you must contact your account executive directly — skip to step 5.

Open Account settings

Click your account avatar or username in the top-right corner of the Sauce Labs dashboard and select 'Account' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Billing

In the Account menu, click 'Billing'. This opens the billing management page at https://app.saucelabs.com/billing where your current plan is displayed.

Downgrade to free plan

Sauce Labs does not show an explicit 'Cancel' button. Instead, locate your current plan and select the option to downgrade to the free tier. This ends paid billing at the close of your current billing period while keeping your account active.

Contact account executive (enterprise only)

If you are on an enterprise invoiced plan, email your assigned Sauce Labs account executive or reach sales at sales@saucelabs.com. Per the Terms of Service (Section 5.1), enterprise subscriptions auto-renew and require at least 30 days' written notice of non-renewal before the renewal date.

Confirm cancellation

You should receive an email confirmation that your plan has been downgraded or cancelled. Retain this for your records. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
