Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Shortcut explicitly does not offer pro-rated refunds for cancelled subscriptions under any circumstances, including cancellations mid-billing cycle.

How do I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Go to Manage Organization and Workspaces, click 'Manage Billing', open the 'Card' tab, confirm or update your payment details, and click 'Update Card and Re-Enable'. A new billing cycle starts immediately upon re-enabling.

Can I downgrade to the free plan instead of fully cancelling?

Yes, if your team has 10 or fewer users. Go to Settings > Workspace Settings > Billing and manually select the Free Plan. The switch takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Is there a way to pause my subscription without losing data?

Yes — 'Disable Organization' is effectively a pause. Billing stops and all data is preserved. You can re-enable at any time to resume with a fresh billing cycle.

What happens to my Legacy plan pricing if I cancel?

Cancelling (disabling) your organization while on a Legacy plan permanently removes your Legacy pricing entitlements. This cannot be reversed — you would be billed at current rates upon re-enabling.

Open Organization Settings

Click your company logo in the upper-left corner of the Shortcut app, then select 'View All Workspaces'.

Go to Manage Organization

Click 'Manage Organization and Workspaces' from the workspaces overview screen.

Export your data (optional but recommended)

Before cancelling, go to your Workspace dashboard and use 'Export as CSV' to download your Stories, or use the Shortcut Exporter tool for a full JSON backup of all organization data.

Disable the Organization

On the Manage Organization and Workspaces page, click the 'Disable Organization' button located in the upper-right corner next to the 'Manage Billing' button.

Confirm the disable action

If you are on a Legacy plan, a warning will appear stating that disabling will permanently remove your Legacy pricing entitlements. Review the warning carefully, then confirm to complete the cancellation.
