Can I still use Spotify after cancelling?

Yes. Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that your account switches to Spotify Free automatically — you keep all your playlists and saved music and can still log in, but you will hear ads and cannot download tracks for offline listening.

Will I get a refund for the remaining days of my billing period?

Spotify does not issue pro-rata refunds for cancellations mid-cycle. You paid for the full month and keep Premium until that period ends. Exceptions may apply if you were charged in error — contact Spotify support in that case.

How do I reactivate Spotify Premium after cancelling?

Go to https://www.spotify.com/pl/account/overview/ and click 'Get Premium again' (or choose a plan). Your playlists, saved songs, and account history are preserved. Spotify sometimes shows a discounted win-back offer when reactivating within a certain window.

Does Spotify delete my data when I cancel?

No. Cancelling Premium only downgrades your account to Free. Your account, playlists, followers, and listening history remain intact. To delete your data entirely you must separately delete your Spotify account via https://www.spotify.com/pl/account/privacy/ and submit a data deletion request under GDPR.

What if I subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?

If your bank statement shows 'Apple' or 'Google' instead of 'Spotify', you must cancel through that platform: on iOS go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Spotify → Cancel; on Android go to Google Play → Subscriptions → Spotify → Cancel. Spotify's own website cannot cancel third-party billing.

Will I lose my downloaded playlists immediately?

Downloaded tracks are tied to an active Premium subscription. Once your Premium period ends and the account reverts to Free, all offline downloads are removed automatically from your device.

Go to your Spotify Account page

Open a browser and navigate to https://www.spotify.com/pl/account/overview/ — log in with your Spotify credentials if prompted.

Find 'Manage your plan'

On the Account Overview page, scroll down to the 'Your plan' section and click the 'Change plan' button.

Scroll down to Spotify Free

On the plan selection page, scroll past all paid plans (Individual, Duo, Family) all the way down to the 'Spotify Free' row at the bottom.

Click 'Cancel Premium'

In the Spotify Free row, click the 'Cancel Premium' button (or 'Anuluj Premium' if the page is in Polish).

Confirm cancellation intent

Spotify shows a retention page listing what you will lose (offline downloads, ad-free listening, etc.) with emotionally charged language (confirmshaming). Click 'Continue to cancel' to proceed past this screen.

Final confirmation

A final confirmation dialog appears asking 'Are you sure you want to cancel?' — click 'Yes, cancel' (or 'Tak, anuluj') to complete the cancellation.

Check confirmation email

Spotify sends a confirmation email to your registered address. Your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period; after that the account reverts to Spotify Free.
