Will I lose access to Pro features immediately after cancelling?

No. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

Yearly plans cancelled within 30 days of purchase or renewal are eligible for a full refund — the option appears in the cancellation flow itself. Monthly plans are non-refundable. If you subscribed via the App Store, contact Apple directly; Google Play subscribers should cancel first, then contact Todoist support.

What happens to my projects and tasks after downgrading to Free?

All data is retained, but Free plan limits apply: only 5 active personal projects (extras become view-only), 3 custom filters, 7 days of activity history, and no new automatic backups. Existing task data (durations, reminders) remains visible but cannot be edited.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. Log back in and resubscribe at any time. A new billing cycle starts from the resubscription date. No data is lost during the period between cancellation and reactivation.

Will my data be deleted when I cancel?

No. Cancelling does not delete your data. Your tasks and projects are preserved on the Free plan. To permanently delete your account and data, you would need to explicitly request account deletion through Todoist support.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?

App Store (iPhone): App Store → tap your profile icon → Subscriptions → Todoist → Cancel Subscription. Google Play (Android): Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Todoist → Cancel subscription. Todoist cannot process refunds for these purchases — contact Apple or Google directly.

Go to todoist.com and log in to your account.

Open your avatar menu

Click your avatar or profile picture in the top-left corner of the app.

Go to Settings

Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Open the Subscription tab

Click the 'Subscription' tab in the Settings panel.

Click 'Cancel plan'

Click the 'Cancel plan' button on the Subscription page.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason from the dropdown and optionally enter feedback in the text field.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Cancel subscription' to confirm. If you are within 30 days of a yearly purchase or renewal, you will be offered two options: cancel immediately with a full refund, or cancel at the end of the billing period. Choose your preferred option and confirm.
