Will I lose my files when I cancel?

No. Your workspace downgrades to the Free plan at the end of the billing period — files remain viewable but can no longer be edited. Files are only deleted 90 days after a full account deletion, not a subscription cancellation.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

No. Per Rive's Terms of Service (Section C.4), no refunds are issued for cancellations. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I reverse a cancellation?

Yes, but only before the billing period ends. Email support@rive.app to request reversal of a pending cancellation. You cannot make other plan changes while a cancellation is pending.

What happens to my legacy pricing if I cancel?

Canceling permanently forfeits legacy pricing. If you were grandfathered into an older lower rate, it cannot be reinstated after cancellation.

Can I cancel via email instead?

Yes. You can email support@rive.app as an alternative to the self-service cancellation flow.

How do I cancel a subscription for a former employee?

Email support@rive.app with the company name, employee name/email, last 4 digits of the charged card, and approximate departure date. Support will cancel the subscription and may refund 1–2 months of post-departure charges.

Go to Account Settings

Navigate to https://rive.app/account, or click your name/avatar in the top-left corner of the Rive editor to open account settings.

Find Your Workspace

In the left sidebar, locate the workspace whose plan you want to cancel.

Click 'Manage Workspace'

On the right side of the workspace row, click the 'Manage Workspace' button to open workspace billing settings.

Click 'Cancel Plan'

On the workspace management page, find your current plan listed and click the 'Cancel Plan' button on the right.

Confirm Cancellation on Stripe

You are redirected to a Stripe-hosted confirmation page. Click 'Cancel plan' again to confirm and complete the cancellation.
