Can I cancel LinksMate in the same month I signed up?

No. LinksMate does not allow cancellation during the month the contract was initiated. You must wait until at least the following month to submit a cancellation request. This is due to the service's delayed billing cycle for voice call charges.

Will I be charged for the full month even if I cancel mid-month?

Yes. Monthly charges are not prorated. If you cancel on any day of the month, you will be billed the full monthly plan fee for that entire billing period. There are no partial-month refunds.

Is there a cancellation fee?

For contracts created after June 30, 2022, there is no plan cancellation fee. However, if your contract group was created before June 30, 2022 and you are deleting the last remaining SIM card in that group, a plan cancellation fee of ¥3,300 (tax included) applies.

Can I keep my phone number when I leave LinksMate?

Yes. You can transfer your number to a new carrier via MNP (Mobile Number Portability). Log in to MyPage, go to 「MNP予約番号発行・確認」(MNP Reservation Number Issuance), and issue your MNP reservation number. Note that the reservation number expires after 15 days, and there is no MNP transfer fee from LinksMate.

What happens to my LP points and Stars when I cancel?

All accumulated Stars (game-based loyalty rewards) are permanently forfeited and cannot be redeemed or transferred after account closure. Remaining LP (prepaid points) can be refunded, but a ¥300 processing fee is deducted and you must have at least 300 LP to request a refund. The maximum refundable amount is 20,000 LP.

Can I reactivate my account or reuse my old phone number after cancelling?

No. Once your SIM is deleted and your account group is withdrawn, your previous phone number cannot be reactivated or reused on LinksMate. If you wish to use LinksMate again in the future, you would need to sign up as a new customer with a new phone number.

Log in to MyPage

Go to https://linksmate.jp/mypage/ and sign in with your registered email address and password.

Open SIM Card Management

From the MyPage dashboard, navigate to 「SIMカードの追加・削除」(SIM Card Addition/Deletion) under the SIM card management section.

Select SIM to Cancel

Find the SIM card (phone number) you want to cancel in the list. Click 「削除する」(Delete) next to the target SIM.

Review Cancellation Warnings

Read all cautionary notices on the confirmation screen. These include: no same-month cancellation, full monthly charge regardless of cancellation date, mandatory SIM card return at your expense, forfeiture of all accumulated Stars (loyalty rewards), and the ¥3,300 plan cancellation fee if your contract group was created before June 30, 2022. Check all confirmation checkboxes to acknowledge each warning.

Submit SIM Deletion

Click 「申し込む」(Apply/Submit) to confirm the SIM deletion. Repeat steps 3–5 for any additional SIM cards on the account — all SIMs must be deleted before full account withdrawal is possible.

Complete Account Group Withdrawal

After all SIM cards are deleted, return to MyPage and complete the formal account group withdrawal (退会手続き) through the account settings. This finalizes the cancellation of your LinksMate group account.

Return Physical SIM Card

Mail your physical SIM card(s) to the return center at your own expense: 〒170-0013 東京都豊島区東池袋1丁目44-3 ISPタマビル4F LinksMate SIMカード返却受付センター. Use a trackable shipping method as you bear responsibility for the return.
