After your subscription expires, you can no longer open or edit DWG files in AutoCAD. However, Autodesk offers a free DWG viewer (DWG TrueView) that lets you view and plot files. The free AutoCAD Web app also allows limited viewing.

Log in to Autodesk Account

Go to manage.autodesk.com and sign in with your Autodesk ID.

Open Billing and Orders

Click 'Billing & Orders' in the left sidebar to view all your active Autodesk subscriptions.

Select Your AutoCAD Subscription

Find your AutoCAD subscription in the list and click on it to see the details, including renewal date and plan type.

Turn Off Auto-Renew or Cancel

Click 'Turn off auto-renew' to prevent the next renewal without immediate cancellation, or click 'Cancel subscription' to cancel immediately. Autodesk may present a multi-step retention flow.

Complete Exit Survey and Confirm

Answer the required exit survey questions, then click 'Confirm cancellation'. Autodesk will send a confirmation email. You retain access to AutoCAD until the end of your current subscription term.
