What happens to my open positions when I close my Plus500 account?

All open CFD positions must be closed before you can close your account. Plus500 will not close positions on your behalf — you must do this manually from your portfolio.

Are there fees for withdrawing or closing my Plus500 account?

Plus500 doesn't charge a direct account closure fee. However, inactivity fees apply if you haven't traded for 3 months. Withdrawal fees depend on your payment method.

How long does it take to close a Plus500 account?

Account closure is usually processed within 1–3 business days after you submit the request. Fund withdrawals may take an additional 1–5 business days.

Log in to Plus500

Go to plus500.com and log in to your trading account.

Close All Open Positions

Navigate to your portfolio and close any open CFD positions before proceeding.

Withdraw Your Balance

Go to 'Funds Management' → 'Withdraw' and transfer your remaining balance back to your payment method.

Access Account Settings

Click your account name in the top-right corner and select 'Account Settings'.

Submit Account Closure Request

Scroll to the bottom of Account Settings and click 'Close Account', then confirm your decision.
