Can I access my data after canceling?

Access to your QuestDB Cloud instance ends on the confirmed cancellation date. You should export all data before that date, as you will lose access to the managed environment once the subscription is terminated.

Am I entitled to a refund when I cancel?

For direct QuestDB subscriptions, yes — the Terms of Service state QuestDB will refund a pro-rated portion of pre-paid fees for services not received after the cancellation date. For AWS Marketplace subscriptions, refunds are processed at QuestDB's discretion; contact support@questdb.io to request one.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

QuestDB Cloud (the original managed offering) has been discontinued and is no longer available for new purchases. If you cancel, you cannot reactivate a Cloud plan. You may contact QuestDB about QuestDB Enterprise (BYOC) as an alternative going forward.

How do I delete my account and personal data?

To request deletion of your account and personal data, send an email to support@questdb.io referencing GDPR or your applicable data privacy rights. QuestDB does not have a self-service account deletion feature.

Is there a minimum notice period to cancel?

Under the Terms of Service, you can terminate at any time upon written notice. A 30-day notice period only applies to termination due to material breach. Standard cancellations take effect immediately upon written notice, though billing may continue until the end of the current paid period.

What if I subscribed through AWS Marketplace?

Cancel directly through the AWS Console under Marketplace > Manage subscriptions. AWS Marketplace contracts end at the contract term date if not renewed. For mid-contract cancellations, also email support@questdb.io to coordinate termination and any applicable refunds.

Back up your data

Before canceling, export or back up all data from your QuestDB Cloud instance. Use the QuestDB web console or REST API to export tables as CSV, or use COPY TO to export data to your own storage.

Check your subscription source

Determine how you subscribed: directly via QuestDB (questdb.com) or through AWS Marketplace. This determines your cancellation path. Note: QuestDB Cloud (managed) has been discontinued — current users may be on legacy plans or QuestDB Enterprise (BYOC).

Cancel via AWS Marketplace (if applicable)

If you subscribed through AWS Marketplace, log in to your AWS Console, navigate to AWS Marketplace > Manage subscriptions, find the QuestDB Cloud listing, and choose 'Cancel subscription'. Select your reason and confirm cancellation.

Send written cancellation notice to QuestDB

For direct subscriptions or QuestDB Enterprise, send an email to support@questdb.io stating your intent to cancel. Include your account name, registered email address, and requested termination date. Per the Terms of Service, cancellation is effective upon written notice.

Request pro-rata refund

In the same cancellation email, request a pro-rated refund for any pre-paid fees covering service time after your cancellation date. Per QuestDB's Terms of Service, you are entitled to a pro-rated refund for unused pre-paid service. For AWS Marketplace subscribers, refunds are at QuestDB's discretion.

Await confirmation

Wait for a confirmation email from QuestDB support acknowledging your cancellation. Retain this confirmation for your records. Access to your instance will end on the confirmed termination date.
