Understand Dokku's model
Dokku (dokku.com) is free, open-source self-hosted software with no subscription or recurring fees. There is nothing to 'cancel' — you simply stop using it. If you purchased Dokku Pro ($849 lifetime license at pro.dokku.com), note it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is no recurring charge to cancel.
Stop your Dokku apps
SSH into your server and stop all running Dokku applications by running: `dokku ps:stopall`. This gracefully stops all app processes before removal.
Remove Dokku from your server
Uninstall Dokku by running: `sudo apt-get remove --purge dokku` (Debian/Ubuntu). This removes the Dokku software and its configuration from your server.
Cancel your hosting server
If you are running Dokku on a VPS (e.g. DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode), log into your hosting provider's dashboard and destroy/delete the Droplet, server, or instance. This is where your actual recurring billing exists — not with Dokku itself.
