Will I be charged a fee for cancelling?

It depends on your region and how much notice you give. In Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, cancellations with 48+ hours notice are free. In the UK, you have 48 hours for a free cancellation; cancelling within 24–48 hours incurs a 25% fee, within 12–24 hours a 50% fee, and under 12 hours a 100% (full) charge. There is no fixed contract period — you can end recurring bookings at any time.

Can I still use my booked sessions after cancelling?

Cancelling your recurring booking stops future sessions from being scheduled. Any already-confirmed upcoming appointments within your notice period may still proceed (or incur a cancellation fee if you cancel them short-notice). There is no prepaid credit balance to use up.

How do I get a refund if I was incorrectly charged?

There is no instant refund button. Contact your regional Helpling support by email (e.g. kontakt@helpling.de for Germany, help@helpling.nl for Netherlands) or submit a ticket via the help portal. Support typically responds within 3–7 days. If Helpling does not resolve it, users have reported disputing the charge with their bank or credit card provider.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Helpling does not have a dedicated reactivation flow. After cancelling a recurring booking, you can book a new cleaner from scratch via the Helpling website as if you were a new customer. Your account login remains active unless you separately request account deletion.

How do I delete my Helpling account and personal data?

There is no self-service account deletion button. You must email your regional support address from your registered email and request data deletion. Regional contacts: Germany — kontakt@helpling.de; Switzerland — kontakt@helpling.ch; Netherlands — help@helpling.nl; Singapore — contact@helpling.sg. Processing can take up to six weeks.

What is the difference between cancelling a single appointment and cancelling all bookings?

Cancelling a single appointment removes only one specific session from your schedule — your recurring booking continues as normal. Cancelling all bookings (using 'Cancel order' or 'End Recurring Relationship') ends the entire recurring arrangement with your cleaner permanently. To stop future sessions for good, you must cancel the recurring order, not just individual appointments.

Log in to your Helpling account

Go to helpling.com (or your regional site: helpling.de, helpling.ch, etc.) and log in with your registered email and password.

Go to your bookings

Navigate to 'Current orders' or 'All Appointments' from your account dashboard to see your active recurring and one-off bookings.

Select the recurring booking to cancel

Click on the recurring booking (cleaner) you want to stop. On the booking overview page, scroll to find the cancellation option.

Click 'Cancel order'

On the booking detail page, click the 'Cancel order' button (located at the bottom right of the overview page on the DE portal). On the Singapore portal, click 'Manage' then select 'End Recurring Relationship'. On older/legacy portals, scroll to the bottom and click 'Please cancel all of my bookings'.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a category and reason from the dropdown menu provided. Some regions (e.g. Switzerland) also require a brief written comment before proceeding.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Cancel booking' to confirm. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
