No. Your hosting plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. You will only lose access once that term expires.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Hostinger offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on first purchases. If you cancel within 30 days of the original transaction, you can request a full refund via Billing → Request Refund or through live chat support. After 30 days, no pro-rated refund is issued — you simply stop being charged at the next renewal.

What happens to my website files and data after the plan expires?

Once your subscription expires and is not renewed, Hostinger deletes your website files, databases, and emails. Back up all your data before the plan ends using hPanel's File Manager or an FTP client.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. If your plan has not yet expired, you can re-enable auto-renewal in Billing → Subscriptions at any time. If the plan has already expired and data was deleted, you would need to purchase a new plan and restore from your own backup.

Are domain names refundable when I cancel hosting?

Domain registrations are generally non-refundable after 96 hours (4 days) from purchase. Cancelling your hosting plan does not automatically cancel or refund your domain — manage domains separately under Billing → Domains.

Does cancelling auto-renewal cancel my account entirely?

No. Disabling auto-renewal only stops future charges; it does not delete your Hostinger account. Your account and any remaining subscription time stay intact until the term ends. To fully delete your account, contact Hostinger support via live chat.

Go to hpanel.hostinger.com and sign in with your Hostinger account credentials.

Open Billing section

Click on 'Billing' in the top navigation bar of hPanel to expand the billing menu.

Go to Subscriptions

Confirm cancellation

Confirm your choice in the final confirmation dialog. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid term, then auto-renewal will be disabled.

Request a refund if within 30 days

If you are within the 30-day money-back window, go to Billing → 'Request Refund' and submit a refund request. Contact support via live chat if the option is not visible.
