Can I still use Power Automate after cancelling?

Once the subscription reaches the 'Deleted' state (the terminal stage), reactivation is not possible and a new subscription would start fresh with no prior data.

When will my data be deleted?

Your flows, flow history, and connections may be deleted after 90 days in Disabled status and no later than 180 days after cancellation. If an admin explicitly deletes the subscription (rather than just cancelling), data is deleted immediately — skipping the grace period entirely. Admins retain read access during the Disabled phase to export flow definitions and data before deletion.

What if I can't find the Cancel button?

The most common reason is looking in the wrong place — make sure you are in Billing → 'Your products', not 'Licenses'. On MCA billing accounts, the Cancel button only appears within 7 days of purchase or renewal; after that you will only see the option to turn off recurring billing. On MOSA accounts with 25+ licenses, you must reduce the license count first. If you still cannot access the admin center, contact Microsoft support at https://admin.microsoft.com.

I'm not an admin — can I cancel my self-service Power Automate subscription?

Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Go to https://admin.microsoft.com and sign in with your Global Admin or Billing Admin account. Note: cancellation is NOT available on powerautomate.microsoft.com — it must be done through the Admin Center.

In the left sidebar, click 'Billing', then click 'Your products'. Do not go to 'Licenses' — the cancel option only appears under 'Your products'.

Find and click your 'Power Automate Premium' (or per-user plan) subscription in the list to open the subscription details page.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to the 'Subscription and payment settings' or 'Billing settings' section. Click the 'Cancel subscription' button. If you are on a MOSA billing account with more than 25 licenses, you must first reduce your license count to 25 or fewer under Billing → Licenses before this button becomes available.

Choose cancellation timing (MOSA) or confirm (MCA)

On MCA billing accounts: if within 7 days of purchase/renewal, you can cancel immediately for a pro-rated refund. If outside 7 days, you will be redirected to turn off recurring billing instead — click 'edit the recurring billing settings', select 'Off', then click 'Save'. On MOSA accounts: choose either 'Cancel now' (immediate, pro-rated refund) or 'Cancel before the next renewal date' (active until renewal, no refund), then click 'Next'.

Select a cancellation reason and confirm

Select a reason from the dropdown menu, optionally add feedback, then click 'Cancel subscription' to confirm. The subscription status will change to 'Disabled'.
