Can I still use Figma after cancelling?

Yes. All paid Organization features remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, the team automatically downgrades to the free Starter plan — your files are not deleted.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Figma's policy is no refunds for annual subscriptions. The one exception is if Figma raises prices and gives 30 days notice — users who cancel during that window receive a prorated refund for unused time.

What happens to my files and projects?

Files are NOT deleted. However, the Starter plan limits you to 3 files per product type per project and 1 project per team. If you exceed these limits, the team will be locked from editing until you move excess files to Drafts or another team.

Can I reactivate my Organization plan later?

Yes. You can resubscribe at any time via Admin > Settings > Plan and billing. Your previous files and team structure are preserved (subject to Starter limits while on the free plan).

How do I cancel if my plan was purchased through Figma's sales team?

You cannot cancel self-serve. Email support@figma.com at least 30 days before your annual renewal date. Missing this window results in automatic renewal for another full year with no refund.

Does cancelling delete my Figma account or organization data?

No. Cancelling only downgrades the plan. To delete files or the team itself, you must do so separately. Export or move files before deleting a team, as deletion is permanent.

Open Admin settings

In the Figma desktop or web app, go to the File Browser and click **Admin** in the left sidebar. This option is only visible to team Owners and Admins.

Go to Plan and billing

Click the **Settings** tab at the top of the Admin panel, then scroll down to the **Plan and billing** section.

Initiate cancellation

Click the **Cancel plan** button within the Plan and billing section.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason from the dropdown menu (required before you can proceed). This is used by Figma to gather churn data and may surface a retention offer.

Click Continue Cancellation

Click the **Continue Cancellation** button to advance past the reason screen.

Review features you will lose

Figma displays a list of all Organization features that will be lost upon downgrade (version history, team libraries, Dev Mode, Admin controls, etc.). This is a retention screen — review and proceed.

Confirm cancellation

Click the red **Cancel plan** or **Finish Cancellation** button to confirm. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the team downgrades to the free Starter plan.
