Will I still have access to my videos after cancelling?

Yes. If you cancel at the end of your billing cycle, your account and all hosted videos remain fully accessible until that date. If you cancel immediately, access ends right away.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Wistia does not issue refunds for cancellations or for any unused portion of a billing cycle, regardless of whether you are on a monthly or annual plan.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes. If you accidentally cancel or change your mind, you can reactivate your account by logging back in as the Account Owner and following the reactivation prompts.

What happens to my videos and data after cancellation?

Once your account is fully cancelled and the billing period ends, your hosted videos, analytics, and account data may no longer be accessible. Download any important content before your account expires.

Can I downgrade instead of cancelling?

Yes. Wistia offers a free plan. Account Owners can downgrade to a lower-tier or free plan at any time from the Plans page in account settings, which may be a better option than full cancellation if you want to keep your data.

Who can cancel a Wistia account?

Only the Account Owner can cancel. Team members or managers added to the account do not have permission to initiate a cancellation.

Log in as Account Owner

Sign in to your Wistia account at wistia.com. Only the Account Owner has permission to cancel — managers or team members cannot perform this action.

Open Account Settings

Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Wistia dashboard, then select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to the Cancel page

In the left-hand side menu of your account settings, click 'Cancel'.

Choose cancellation timing

Select whether you want to cancel immediately or at the end of your current billing cycle. Choosing end-of-cycle lets you use the service through the period you already paid for.

Click 'Continue to Cancel'

After selecting your cancellation timing, click the 'Continue to Cancel' button to proceed to the confirmation step.

Provide optional feedback

Wistia may prompt you to share a reason for cancelling. This step is optional.

Confirm with 'Cancel Plan'

Click the 'Cancel Plan' button to finalize the cancellation. You will receive a confirmation email. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period.
