1

Check your subscription type

Log in to your Pilot account at app.pilot.com and note whether you are on a monthly, quarterly, or annual plan. This determines your required notice period: 7 days for monthly/quarterly plans, or 30 days for annual plans. Check your billing details in your account dashboard.

2

Export your QuickBooks data

Before cancelling, export any reports or records you need. Pilot manages your QuickBooks Online account; upon cancellation they will transfer QuickBooks Online admin access back to you so you can maintain the subscription with Intuit directly or export your data. Pilot does not guarantee document availability after termination, so download all reports now.

3

Send cancellation notice to support

Email support@pilot.com with your cancellation request. State your company name, account email, and desired cancellation date. For annual plans, send this email at least 30 days before your renewal date. For monthly or quarterly plans, send at least 7 days before the next billing date. There is no self-service cancel button in the dashboard — email is the required cancellation method per the Subscription Agreement.

4

Await confirmation and QuickBooks transfer

Pilot's support team will confirm your cancellation and coordinate the transfer of QuickBooks Online admin access to your email. You will receive instructions to take over or export the QuickBooks account. Verify the confirmation email clearly states your cancellation effective date.

5

Verify no further charges

After the cancellation effective date, check your bank or credit card statement to confirm billing has stopped. Pilot does not issue refunds for prepaid subscription fees on customer-initiated cancellations, so time your notice carefully to avoid paying for an additional period.
