Log in as an admin

Go to app.heapanalytics.com and sign in with an account that has admin privileges. Only workspace admins can initiate cancellation — non-admins must first request admin access.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Heap dashboard and select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Billing

In the left sidebar of Account Settings, click 'Billing' or 'Subscription' to view your current plan details.

Check for self-service cancellation option

Look for a 'Cancel Subscription' or 'Downgrade Plan' button. This option may be available for lower-tier paid plans. If visible, click it and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm cancellation.

Contact Account Manager or support if no self-service option

For Growth, Pro, Premier, or enterprise plans, no self-service cancel button is available. Email sales@heap.io or contact your assigned Account Manager directly to request cancellation. For free plan accounts, submit a request via the Help Center at help.heap.io using the 'Get Support' option.

Submit written cancellation notice

For annual or multi-year contracts, send a formal written cancellation notice per your Order Form terms. You must provide at least 90 days' written notice before your contract renewal date to prevent automatic renewal for another full term.

Export your data within 30 days

Remove the Heap tracking script
