When does my paid access end after cancelling?

Your paid plan remains active until the 1st day of the following month (billing cycles reset monthly on the 1st). You retain all paid-tier features until then, after which your account is downgraded to the Free plan.

Will my account and data be deleted?

No. Cancelling does not delete your account. Your workspace is downgraded to the Free plan (250,000 events/month), and all your pipeline configuration — sources, destinations, and connections — is preserved. RudderStack streams event data through to your destinations (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery) rather than storing it long-term, so historical event data lives in your own destination systems.

Can I reactivate my paid plan later?

Yes. Return to Settings > Organization > Billing & plans at any time and upgrade to a paid plan. The upgrade takes effect immediately with prorated billing for the current month.

Can I get a refund for the current billing period?

There is no documented prorated refund policy for self-serve plans. The current month's payment is non-refundable; cancellation prevents future charges only. For billing disputes, contact RudderStack support directly.

What happens if I exceed 250,000 events on the Free plan?

If you exceed the Free plan limit in two consecutive months, data processing stops for the remainder of that month. Your pipeline configuration is preserved but events will not be processed until the next month.

What if I have an Enterprise plan?

Enterprise plans cannot be cancelled self-serve. You must contact your account manager or reach out via rudderstack.com/contact. Enterprise contracts typically auto-renew annually and require 30 days written notice before the term end to avoid renewal — check your specific Order Form for your exact notice period.

Go to app.rudderstack.com and sign in to your account.

Open Settings

In the left navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

Go to Billing & Plans

Under the 'Organization' section in Settings, click 'Billing & plans'.

Click 'Cancel plan'

On the billing overview page, locate your current active plan and click the 'Cancel plan' button.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation dialog appears warning you about the downgrade consequences. Review the information and click the confirm button to proceed. The cancellation will not take effect unless you confirm.
