Open Settings
On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app. Tap your name (Apple Account) at the top of the screen.
Go to Subscriptions
On iOS 18.4 or later, tap 'Subscriptions'. On iOS 17 or earlier, tap 'iCloud' instead, then tap 'Manage Account Storage'.
Select iCloud+
Under the 'Active' section, tap 'iCloud+' to open the subscription details.
Tap Cancel Subscription
On iOS 18.4+, tap the 'Cancel Subscription' button. On older iOS versions, tap 'Downgrade Options', then select the free 5GB plan and tap 'Done'. On Mac: Apple menu → System Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Plan → Cancel Subscription.
Confirm cancellation
Confirm the cancellation when prompted. Apple displays a warning that your data may exceed the free 5GB limit. Confirm to proceed. The plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
