Export your data

Before canceling, export any data you want to keep. Your account becomes completely inaccessible immediately upon cancellation, and all data is permanently deleted 60 days after cancellation.

Open Your Plan page

Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner of the Help Scout navigation bar, then select 'Your Plan' from the dropdown menu.

Access plan management (Contact-based plans only)

If you are on a Contact-based plan, click the 'Manage your plan' button on the Your Plan page. Skip this step if you are on a User-based plan.

Click Delete Account

Scroll to the bottom of the Your Plan page and click the red 'Delete Account' link.

Select cancellation reason

Choose the reason you are canceling your account from the options presented.

Confirm deletion
