Updated: April 2026
Log in to your Sumo Logic account
Go to app.sumologic.com and sign in with your credentials. You must be the Account Owner to cancel or delete the organization.
Check your plan type
Navigate to Administration > Account > Account Overview (in the left sidebar). Review the plan shown — Free/Trial accounts can self-cancel; paid plans (Essentials, Professional, Enterprise) require contacting Support.
Free/Trial only — scroll to deletion section
On the Account Overview page, scroll to the bottom and locate the section labeled 'Delete this Organization from Sumo Logic?'. Click the 'Delete Org' button.
Free/Trial only — confirm deletion
In the confirmation dialog 'Delete This Organization from Sumo Logic?', type DELETE (all caps) in the text field, then click the 'Delete Org' button to permanently remove all users, data, and the account.
Paid plan — open a Support ticket
Go to the Sumo Logic Support portal at support.sumologic.com and click 'Submit a Request' (or 'New Support Case'). Select your account, set the subject to 'Account Cancellation Request', and clearly state your intent to cancel your paid subscription.
Paid plan — work with the account team
A Sumo Logic representative will contact you to process the cancellation. You may also reach your named Account Executive directly if you have one. Be prepared to confirm your organization name and billing details.
Confirm cancellation and note financial obligations
Sumo Logic will confirm the cancellation in writing. Note: any financial obligations outlined in your contract remain in effect even after the account is closed — there are no mid-term refunds for annual contracts.
